General Liability Insurance
With the day-to-day uncertainties of running your business, general liability insurance is something you cannot do without. Accidents happen – on site, off site, with employees and with customers – no matter how much you’ve planned.
Liability insurance can help cover medical expenses, attorney fees and damages. It can also offer protection against situations that may not have even crossed your mind. Any individual or business providing an opinion, making recommendations, designing solutions, or offering a service is at risk for a professional liability lawsuit. This coverage can also help with defense costs, regardless of fault.
General liability insurance, along with other various protections, is available in a Business Owner’s Policy (BOP). Check out our BOP page for more information on this package of policies for your business.
If you’re a contractor, though, you might only need general liability insurance – not a BOP. For example, you might not own any commercial buildings that require property insurance, or need to cover payroll or other operating expenses. However, you’re still exposed to liability risks in your job. Some employers might also require you to carry a certain amount of general liability insurance before you can work for them.
You need complete business protection, not one-size-fits-all coverage. We will work with you to determine the right type of commercial liability insurance you need for every stage of your business.
